Nixon Park Field Trip

On Wednesday September 26th the 7th and 10th graders went on a field trip to Nixon Park. They learned about and identified different kinds of birds. They also got into the stream and caught different kinds of bugs and classified them based on their species.

Faith Golembiowski and Taelyn Lawrence summed up their day by saying “We learned about birds for an hour and we got to go in the water and look at the bugs and catch them. Isabella got stung by a bee. We caught crayfish, hellgrammites, and minnows. We got to eat lunch at McDonalds. And the guys were really bad. AJ dumped out a fish and got in trouble. Then, his paper floated down the stream and he had to go in and chase after it."
